Two fishermen take advantage of glassy conditions in South Australia's Spencer Gulf, venturing 3 Kilometres out to sea from Cape Elizabeth Point near Port Hughes on the Yorke Peninsula for a session of squidding and crabbing. Not before long this inquisitive Great White Shark came along tempting the boys to fire up their GoPro for action in what became a lengthy interaction between man and the ultimate predator of the seas. The twelve foot shark makes no hesitation in closely investigating the boat by biting the prop and nudging the small boat numerous times, a trade mark feature of many other encounter video's with boats featured on Shark Watch SA and the Great White Shark's calculated nature. With a "not so camera shy" display of her (the sharks) beauty combined with the top notch resolution of the GoPro camera, the boys narate a priceless raw experience delivered in the highest quality for those behind the screen to see.

Special thanks to Arron Piekarski for granting Shark Watch SA permission to repost his precious unseen footage. The response on our other social accounts, where these videos have been broadcast, was incredible and met with pure awe from many of its viewers.

As South Australia approaches the warmer summer months, Shark Watch SA is likely to receive more amazing interactions like this with Great White Sharks as more people turn to the coast with recreational fishing craft so now is the time to jump onboard our platforms on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by using the @sharkalertsa username as we promote fascination and awareness for local shark sightings. #sharkalertsa #greatwhiteshark
