NepTime AI Video Editor: edit with Nova, then publish to your channel
NepTime is a free video platform for uploading original videos, livestreaming, and watching other creators. Logged-in users also get something a lot of “upload sites” skip: an AI Video Editor built into the product. You cut on a multi-track timeline, talk to an assistant named Nova 1.0 [Beta], generate clips and audio when you need them, and hit Publish to NepTime when the cut is ready.
What the AI Video Editor is
Think of it as a project room, not a public gallery. Projects move through statuses such as draft, rendering, completed, failed, and published. Clips sit on video, audio, text, and caption tracks. Effects and transitions are part of the timeline too.
You do not need a separate desktop NLE just to ship a short for your NepTime channel. You still might use one for other work. Here, the path from cut to channel stays inside one account.
What’s on the screen
The editor uses a three-pane layout:
- Left: AI chat, media library, effects, audio tools
- Center: preview and timeline
- Right: properties and model selection
The media library filters include Videos, Images, Audio, Music, and SFX. Character-style tools in the live editor include Ref→Image and Img→Video. Generation tools include text-to-video, image-to-video, AI voiceover / TTS, lip sync, effects and transitions, timeline editing, and the AI chat assistant.

Nova 1.0 [Beta] vs generation models
Nova is NepTime’s AI chat assistant inside the editor. In the editor it appears as Nova 1.0 [Beta]. Nova can help drive timeline edits through chat. It is not affiliated with the third-party product at wearenova.ai.
Chat models Nova can use are listed publicly at https://neptime.io/nova-models. As of September 2026, that catalog lists about 41 active chat models across families such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Moonshot, MiniMax, NVIDIA, DeepSeek, Meta, and models offered through OpenRouter. That page lists chat models only.
Video, voice, music, lipsync, and other generation models are chosen inside the AI Video Editor, not on /nova-models. They are separate catalogs.
A simple create → publish flow
Here is a typical path from first cut to published video:
- Sign in and open the AI Video Editor.
- Start or open a project; drop media onto the multi-track timeline.
- Ask Nova for an edit suggestion, or generate a clip / voiceover / lipsync pass when the right model is selected in the editor.
- Preview, adjust duration and layers, add text or captions if you need them.
- When the render finishes cleanly, use Publish to NepTime to post it to your channel with a title, description, and category.
That is the whole loop: cut in-product, publish to the same place people already watch you.
Plans, credits, and packs
Joining NepTime to watch and upload does not require an AI subscription. The AI Video Editor uses subscription plans and credit packs described in the Terms (AI Video Editor — Subscription, Credits & Refund Terms; Terms last updated April 11, 2026). FAQ
- Do I need a paid plan to try the editor?
- There is a Free plan with monthly credits (see the table above). Paid tiers include larger monthly credit pools. After you sign in, the editor shows the plans available to your account.
- Is Nova the same as the generation models?
- No. Nova’s public catalog is chat models on
/nova-models. Generation models are selected in the editor. - Can I publish straight to my NepTime channel?
- Yes. Use Publish to NepTime in the editor and add a title, description, and category.
- Where do I get help if render fails?
- If a project shows a failed status, contact NepTime Support.
