If that's the case, then you might be tempted to start telling yourself that you suck at relationships. And I am here to stop you in your tracks and rethink this mindset because it might just be the very thing that is sabotaging all of your relationships.
In this video, I'm going to talk about three reasons why you need to stop saying that you suck at relationships.
Reason #1 To Stop Staying "I Suck At Relationships": you tend to believe yourself. Tony Robbins famously popularized the term Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and basically what this means is that the words that we say out loud or the words we tell ourselves, we start to internalize. And if you start telling yourself that you suck at relationships, then you start believing yourself, and you stop believing in growth. I mean, have you ever met someone who just when you talk to them, they always talk about every miserable thing going on in their life.
Their cat just got cancer; they have constant headaches; they're never going to be able to travel because they don't have the money. And worse, they're complaining to you why they don't seem to have that many friends anymore, and they never get invited to parties anymore, and they wonder why. All this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. So, no more do you suck at relationships; it's that you need to work on this area of your life, and you need to improve at relationships.
Reason #2 To Stop Staying "I Suck At Relationships": you will always attract in life what you think you deserve. If you think you suck at relationships, what do you think you're going to attract into your life? A terrible relationship. And maybe you feel this way because of your parents, or the way that you were brought up because so much of what we've learned about relationships comes from our parents and our family upbringing. And maybe your parents are divorced, or perhaps they've struggled, maybe they've remarried three, four times and you think that you are faded to do the same, but I'm here to tell you it is not true. So long as you open your mind and your heart up to growing and trying to improve yourself in relationships, then you will be able to find a great relationship. Just keep working at it.
Reason #3 To Stop Staying "I Suck At Relationships": you blame everything on yourself. Look, sometimes relationships don't work out. And for some people who are spectacularly unlucky at love, sometimes you're just going to have to kiss some toads before you meet your prince. So stop blaming yourself for every single thing that's wrong. Should you be aware of the things you can improve on? Absolutely. But at the same time, realize that dating is truly a numbers game. Finding love and putting yourself out there, it's just a matter of getting yourself out there, exploring what it is that you want and adjusting every single step of the way.
