The new trailer for It: Chapter Two contains a lot of new footage to analyse. It's got shots from the original that show the contrast between the events of 1989 and 2016, connections to the book and one cool easter egg paying homage to the original adaptation of IT starring Tim Curry from 1989.

I'll also be breaking down the trailer, explaining some aspects from the book such as the significance of the Derry Canal Days Festival, my thoughts on the carnival funhouse maze, and an explanation of Pennywise's massive tongue!

I'll also discuss some of the changes you might not have realized from the original, zooming in on small details you may have missed and paying closer attention to some of the injuries and scars carried by each member of the Losers Club.

As always, I'll be pointing out all the hidden appearances by Pennywise and making predictions about another form of it that was briefly shown in the trailer.

Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club—young and adult—in a return to where it all began with “It Chapter Two.”

The film is Muschietti’s follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed and massive worldwide box office hit “IT,” which grossed over $700 million globally. Both redefining and transcending the genre, “IT” became part of the cultural zeitgeist as well as the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “It Chapter Two” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.
