Decades after a mysterious incurable zombie virus spreads throughout the world mankind is in danger of going extinct.
Among the infected there is an old zombie and a dog that remains loyal to his master and hopes he will become human again one day.

“Dead Friends” is my graduation film created for Sheridan College Animation in Oakville, Canada. Within the course of a year it has been screened at over 30 film festivals all over the world and now I have decided to share my film with you. I hope you enjoy. городское радио стало площадкой современного искусства. Это
беспрецедентный и, возможно, первый в мире опыт подобного рода.
Горожане услышали постановки постдраматического «театра у микрофона»,
лекции, популяризирующие актуальные культурные проекты и критические
споры в прямом эфире известных деятелей искусства и культуры.
Радио демократично. Его вещание для всех. Не нужен билет, чтобы
познакомиться с радиотворчеством увлеченных звуком художников,
композиторов, певцов, актеров, поэтов.
Донесшиеся из радио звуки могут разбудить вашу собственную фантазию,
заставить достроить в воображении долетевший звук. Все эти процессы
происходят легко, подсознательно – звуки рождают образы, обусловленные
личным опытом, культурным уровнем каждого отдельного слушателя.
«Используя радио как носитель и как инструмент, мы применяем его
двойную природу: с одной стороны, отсутствие визуальной составляющей,
с другой, обострение уровня сенсорного восприятия через слух. Эта
двойственность вызывает объемные образы, и что важно - возникшие
образы у каждого свои. Радиопостановка - это произведение, в котором
зритель является и кастинг-директором, и оператором, и костюмером.
Слушатель сам выбирает площадку, на которой разворачиваются события
услышанного им по радио, и если бы существовала возможность вытащить
эти спектакли/фильмы/интервью/концерты у нас из головы и сравнить их
между собой, мы наверняка были бы потрясены их разнообразием.
Создание радиопрограмм - моя старинная мечта, отражающая те
тенденции и направления в современном искусстве, которые мне особенно
интересны. Я много работаю со звуком, потому что звук - один из самых
коротких путей, пролегающий через ассоциативный ряд от объекта

Pertsel (Moscow).
Location: city center. Sound system "Radio City". Hammocks will be provided to those
who wish to have a comfortable listening in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure
named after Kosta Khetagurov.

During the last two days of the symposium – on September 30 and October 1 – the city radio
became a platform for contemporary art. This is an unprecedented and perhaps the first in the
world experience of this kind. The townspeople heard post-dramatic "theater by the microphone"
performances, lectures popularizing current cultural projects and critical discussions of famous
artists and culture experts on the air.
Radio is democratic. Its broadcasting is for everyone. You do not need a ticket to get acquainted
with the radio creation of artists, composers, singers, actors, poets, who are keen on the sound.
The sounds coming from the radio can wake your own imagination, make you build up a sound
heard in the imagination. All these processes occur easily, subconsciously - sounds give birth to
images that are conditioned by personal experience, the cultural level of each individual listener.
"Using radio as a carrier and as an instrument, we apply its dual nature: on the one hand, the
lack of a visual component, on the other, the aggravation of the level of sensory perception
through hearing. This ambiguity evokes voluminous images, and what is important is that each
one has his own images. A radio show is a work in which the viewer is both a casting director,
an operator, and a costumier. The listener himself chooses a platform on which the events heard
by him on the radio unfolds, and if there were an opportunity to get these performances/films/
interviews/concerts out of our heads and compare them, we would certainly be shocked by their
diversity.
Creation of radio programs is my old dream reflecting those trends and tendencies in
contemporary art that are of particular interest to me. I work a lot with sound, because sound is
one of the shortest paths that runs through the associative line from the object of art to the

The melody gained popularity in Russia and adjoining countries during the First World War, when the Russian soldiers left their homes and were accompanied by the music of the march. It was performed also during parade of 7 November 1941 on the Red Square after which soldiers went straight to fight in the Battle of Moscow. This march was also used as an unofficial anthem of Admiral Kolchak's White Army.

It was commonly believed that prior to its use in the award-winning 1957 film The Cranes Are Flying, the song was banned in the Soviet Union because of its lyrics about banned subjects. The song's popularity and quality made the Communist authorities adopt the song, but they had made significant changes to its lyrics. The original text mentioned Russian patriotism, religion, nationalism and culture, which was not acceptable under the Soviet Union. The song was originally published by Zimmerman Production Association around 1912. The march was published in an official collection of music for Red Army orchestras, and it was recorded in the early 1940s by a military orchestra under the conductor Ivan Petrov (1906–1975), but different lyrics were then used. Other lyrics are now usually sung by the Red Army choir.

Subsequently, several Russian and Polish composers have written lyrics for the music. During the Second World War in German-occupied Poland, an adapted "underground" version of the song, Rozszumiały się wierzby płaczące ("Weeping Willows Began to Hum"), became popular in the Polish resistance and was based on lyrics by Roman Ślęzak.

In the 1990s, the political party Yabloko lobbied unsuccessfully for the march to be adopted as the Russian national anthem.

"Farewell of Slavyanka" was used in movies like The Cranes Are Flying and Charlie Wilson's War, which is about the Soviet–Afghan War, and in the Russian movies 72 Meters (72 метра) and Prisoner of the Mountains (Кавказский пленник). An instrumental version of the song was also featured in the 1990 Ukrainian film Raspad ("Decay") during the Pripyat evacuation scene.

A Hebrew version was written in 1945 by the singer/songwriter Haim Hefer for the Palmach. In his version of the song, בין גבולות‎ ("Between Borders"), Hefer coined the phrase אָנוּ פֹּה חוֹמַת מָגֵן‎ (We are here a defensive wall), which was used by Israel Defense Forces to call Operation Defensive Shield (literally "Operation Defensive Wall") in 2002.
