Until We Die ist ein Strategiespiel mit Basisverteidigung. Die U-Bahn-Station ist deine unterirdische Basis. Du musst sie gegen alle möglichen Gefahren verteidigen, die Meteoriten auf die Erde gebracht haben.
Um zu gewinnen, musst du etwa 30 Spieltage überleben – und dabei alle Angriffe auf die Basis abwehren. Anfangs greifen dich nur kleine Gruppen von Kreaturen an, doch später im Spiel kämpfst du gegen eine riesige Horde von Mutanten. Das Spiel ist zu Ende, wenn unser Held Iwan stirbt oder der Stromgenerator, das Herz der Basis, zerstört wird.
