Archbishop Rino Fisichella hopes that the media furor surrounding Eluana Englaro will provoke a societal affirmation of human dignity. The Italian press was singularly focused on the comatose woman as her food and water were withdrawn on February 6th, leading to her death by cardiac arrest three days later."It was a provocation—a positive provocation in order to understand that there is a dignity for everybody. We cannot say that there is not dignity in every state of life. (...) If we have a provocation for a new culture of life, then probably with the help of several institutions in the society, probably we can have also the possibilty of new beautiful and useful laws."On February 20th the President of the Pontifical Academy for Life opened its 15th General Assembly. This year's congress, titled “The New Frontiers of Genetics and the Risk of Eugenics”, examined both the great healing potential of genetic medicine and the corresponding threats of genetic manipulation and eugenic discrimination."Well, just in the name eugenics, there's something that belongs to ethics. So we can do something very important. From one hand, we have the possibility to show that science can have its own progress. On the other hand, we can also say that science without ethics doesn't have any progress for anyone."The Pontifical Academy for Life congress concluded on February 21st with an audience with Pope Benedict XVI.

John Cage performing "Water Walk" in January, 1960 on the popular TV show I've Got A Secret.

"At the time, Cage was teaching Experimental Composition at New York City's New School. Eight years beyond 4:33, he was (as our smoking MC informs us) the most controversial figure in the musical world at that time. His first performance on national television was originally scored to include five radios, but a union dispute on the CBS set prevented any of the radios from being plugged in to the wall. Cage gleefully smacks and tosses the radios instead of turning them on and off.

While treating Cage as something of a freak, the show also treats him fairly reverentially, cancelling the regular game show format to allow Cage the chance to perform his entire piece. "

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person survival game developed by Panache Digital Games and published by Private Division. It is set to be released for Microsoft Windows on August 27, 2019, and on December 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In the game, players control a lineage of apes and are tasked to ensure its survival in prehistoric Africa and facilitate its evolution. It will be Patrice Désilets' first game since the release of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a survival game played from a third-person perspective. In the game, players control a member of an ape clan and have to manage the player character's health by eating, drinking, and sleeping. The game starts in an African jungle, an open world filled with threats including predators like giant birds and poisonous plants. Players can climb any tree in the jungle, though the player character will break its bones if it falls down. As players progress, new areas are opened up for players to explore. When an ape is exploring new locations or being hunted by predators, it will enter a state of "fear" which can be overcome by finding glowing orbs of light, or else it will descend into a state of hysteria. While the world is dangerous, the apes can use their heightened senses to listen to various sounds, such as that of a predator, a lost clan member, or an outsider which can be recruited to the player's clans. The primate can use its intelligence to pinpoint the locations of different items of interest and make new discoveries such as identifying new food or tools. As players continue to make new discoveries, the apes become more intelligent and capable, and new skills such as using leaves to make bedding and medicinal plants to heal themselves are unlocked. If the player character dies, players will shift to controlling another clan member. If all clan members die, the lineage becomes extinct and players need to restart the game.
