Show 1050 Audiobook Part 2 of 2 The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution. Kevin R. C. Gutzman (Author)
This is an audio excerpt from the book. Chapters 1-3.
Purchase audio book from Audible or buy the audio book on cd's from amazon or barnes and nobel then donate it to your local library.
Book Description
The Constitution of the United States created a representative republic marked by federalism and the separation of powers. Yet numerous federal judges--led by the Supreme Court--have used the Constitution as a blank check to substitute their own views on hot-button issues such as abortion, capital punishment, and samesex marriage for perfectly constitutional laws enacted by We the People through our elected representatives.
Now, The Politically Incorrect Guide(tm) to the Constitution shows that there is very little relationship between the Constitution as ratified by the thirteen original states more than two centuries ago and the "constitutional law" imposed upon us since then. Instead of the system of state-level decision makers and elected officials the Constitution was intended to create, judges have given us a highly centralized system in which bureaucrats and appointed--not elected--officials make most of the important policies.
In The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution, Professor Kevin Gutzman, who holds advanced degrees in both law and American history:
* explains how the Constitution was understood by the founders who wrote it and the people who ratified it * follows the Supreme Court as it uses the fig leaf of the Constitution to cover its naked usurpation of the rights and powers the Constitution explicitly reserves to the states and to the people * shows how we slid from the Constitution's republican federal government, with its very limited powers, to an unrepublican "judgeocracy" with limitless powers * reveals how huge swaths of American law and society were remade in the wake of Supreme Court rulings * reveals how the Fourteenth Amendment has been twisted to use the Bill of Rights as a check on state power instead of on federal power, as originally intended * exposes the radical inconsistency between "constitutional law" and the rule of law * contends that the judges who receive the most attention in history books are celebrated for acting against the Constitution rather than for it
As Professor Gutzman shows, constitutional law is supposed to apply the Constitution's plain meaning to prevent judges, presidents, and congresses from overstepping their authority. If we want to return to the founding fathers' vision of the Republic, if we want the Constitution enforced in the way it was explained to the people at the time of its ratification, then we have to overcome the "received wisdom" about what constitutional law is. The Politically Incorrect Guide(tm) to the Constitution is an important step in that direction.

J. Cole - Lewis Street is available now: https://JCole.lnk.to/LewisStreet/
Produced by J. Cole
Everything come back around full circle
Why do lies sound pleasant but the truth hurtful
Everybody gotta cry once in a while
But how long will it take before you smile
This is that come back to life shit
My niggas pick me up and we gon light the city up as if the sun had the night shift
And paint the town red for my nigga found dead to soon
Yea
To the left of that decimal I need 7 figures to play the joint
Turn up your decibels peep how I decimate a joint
Check out my projects like them workers that section 8 appoints
And you’ll see how I flipped, like exclamation points
My niggas shoot first as if they never played the point, more 2 guards
Enough straps to fill four uhauls
More death than World War II caused around these parts
We pour the brown just to drown these thoughts
Of black corpses in county morgues, Lord, those images hauntin
I ain’t been sleep yet, it’s 10 in the morning
I’m sending a warning, a problem with me is like the BET hip hop awards I’m starting to see you niggas don’t want it
I’m sick of this flauntin, from niggas I know for sho ain’t got mo dough than Cole
Trash rappers Ass backwards tryna go toe to toe
We laugh at ya, staff strapped up on top the totem pole
To blast at ya,
Bass masters, look how they tote a pole
Gotta know the ropes and the protocol
Or they gon for sho blow your clothes half off like a promo code
Made a lil tune called folding clothes, and a nigga still ain’t known to fold
Under pressure, well you know what coal do
Make a diamond, they just rhymin, me I’m quoting gold
1 phone call Get you cancelled like a homophobe,
In this PC culture, address me as the goat, like they call chief Keef Sosa, in my sectional like a fuckin 3 piece sofa
Im known as the chosen one,
Another dead body lay frozen that’s how it go sometimes
When Niggas weighing coke just like the pro’s and cons
Well I ain’t with that sleeping underground like a gopher, so I go for mines
Everything come back around full circle
Why do lies sound pleasant but the truth hurtful
Everybody gotta cry once in a while
But how long will it take before you smile
This is that come back to life shit
My niggas pick me up and we gon light the city up as if the sun had the night shift
And paint the town red for my nigga found dead to soon
Now I know why they call it Blue (YEAAAA)
Survival at all costs, everyday niggas get logged off
Bodies Get hauled off
Passing a funeral procession While holding my breath in the car I thought
At times it be feelin the devil be winning but do that mean god lost
Just got off the phone with my nigga he back in the kennel my dog lost
I brought him round close to me
Before but he
Became addicted to clout and all the hoes we’d meet
I slowly peeped,
Jealousy on his breath, whenever he spoke to me
Like on the low he feeling like in my shoes is where he sposed to be
I tried to ignore the signs, but there in the back of my mind it felt
Like letting a nigga come sleep on your couch but he eating up all yo groceries
My nigga repeated this quote to me, I felt it’s potency
Said Most of these, niggas gon hang theyselfs, just give em the rope and see
I headed that, and what got showed to me
Was screaming that, some niggas you gotta leave em back unfortunately,
We seen the trap, niggas be on that demon clock resultantly
They fiend to clap, as often as the genius app misquotin me
Meanwhile, I see that yo diamonds is glistening
I’m Glad that you shining but need I remind you my niggas is diamond and nickeling
Scraping up whatever coin they can find, the pettiest crime they committing it
Just to get by for a limited time, the Steepest of mountains they tryna climb
I’m here tryna find the derivative
You niggas don’t feel me,
You see the clout
You don’t see the real me
If I was sick, you niggas wouldn’t heal me
Therefore I’m healin myself, getting in tune with my God, slowly revealing myself, building my wealth, a nigga touch mine ima kill em myself

President Donald Trump threw himself another big rally Thursday night, this time in Manchester, New Hampshire, a state he nearly clinched in 2016.
We invited Lucas Meyer, the president of the Young Democrats of New Hampshire, to attend the rally with VICE News and talk to Trump’s fanatical supporters about why they love him so much. He agreed to attend because it’s “instructive to experience.”

Music: Summer Smile - Silent Partner
SUMMARY
Many wild animals can be dangerous or even fatal for a person. If you look at the statistics, you might feel terrified.
- Sharks cause just six deaths a year - their infamous reputation is very exaggerated.
- Wolves are responsible for ten deaths annually.
- Lions kill 22 people a year.
- Now get ready: elephants, cute lovely giants, are the reason that more than 500 people lose their lives every year!
- Hippopotamuses equal them in this scary competition.
- Crocodiles turn out to be much more dangerous than sharks: about one thousand deaths a year.
- But the champion here is the snake: 100,000 people meet their end at the teeth of this reptile.
We hope you will never have to escape from a rhinoceros, swim away from a crocodile, or meet a hungry lion. However, now you will be able to protect yourself in the wilderness.

“Vibez”
Don’t keep me waiting
I’ve been waiting all night to get closer
And you already know I got it for ya
You know the vibes, know the vibes
Put it on ya
If we’re moving too fast we can slow up
Baby, this far from mediocre no
You know the vibes, know the vibes
It’s you and me
Here in this room
Imagining things we could do
Won’t tell no lies, no lies to you
I need you here, I need you here
Mind running wild
We touching slow
Just say the word, I’m ready to go
Anticipation plays after 4
I need you now oh
Baby I’mma get you right, I will
When I touch you tell me how it feel
Trust me, I’mma make it feel surreal
Baby Mind Of Mine
I’mma do all the things
Type of things that happen in your dreams
Get you right where you need to be
Just don't keep me
Don't keep me waiting
I’ve been waiting all night to get closer
And you already know I got it for ya
You know the vibes, know the vibes
Put it on ya
If we’re moving too fast, we could slow up
Baby, this far from mediocre no
You got the vibes, got the vibes
Baby I’mma get you right, I will
When I touch you tell me how it feel
Trust me, I’mma make it feel surreal
Baby Mind of Mine

Type of things that happen in your dreams
