Say what you want to, the NBA still remains LeBron James’ league. Never before has a player
hosted a “Decision” on live television. King James is a global brand but more than that, he is an
entertainer, showering us with funny and sometimes odd moments regularly. From cramping up
the final to the funniest outfit ever seen in an award ceremony, we are looking at Lebron James’
10 most embarrassing moments! Let’s begin:
Number 10. Big flopper
Flopping is the "art" of exaggerating contact when coming into contact with another player of the
opposite team in order to have a foul charged on the opposition. There are no players despised
more by the NBA community than the ones who flop. And yes, even 'the king' is guilty of
flopping once or twice. Or three or four times even…Scratch, LeBron James flops around way
too much for a player that is often described as one of the league's top athletes. It makes it even
more disappointing considering that the strength that he exhibits on his drives somehow
disappears the moment James decides to flail around looking for a foul call. Referees should
never fall for a 6'8", 250-pound behemoth falling to the ground when getting bodied by a player
no matter how big or small.
Number 9. Oh, cramp
Even though his stats were outstanding over the series, LeBron’s cramping up in Game 1 of the
2014 finals became a huge talking point. In the middle, the air conditioning at the AT&T Center
gave out. The temperature rose and LeBron James was the player most affected. Suffering from
cramps, James was subbed out multiple times in the second half, leaving the game for good with
3:59 left in the fourth quarter. Everything from the failure of the San Antonio air conditioning to
a war of words with Gatorade took all the headlines and set the negative tone for the Heat. The
forgettable moment outlined how much was at stake as LeBron told reporters, “I have nothing to
say about that sports drink group. I’m not even gonna say their name.” Historically, James’
cramps meant absolutely nothing. The Spurs were going to win this series no matter how he felt
at the end of Game 1. They lost Game 2, but destroyed the Heat in Games 3, 4, and 5, finishing
with the best point differential in Finals history. The cramps also made Lebron a meme on the
internet that is still fresh today!

number 8. Delton West Scandal
LeBron has had a number of humiliating and embarrassing moments as a player, but on this
occasion, it was clearly not of his own making. Many people don’t know this but this was a key
part of his departure to Miami. In 2010, stories emerged that Cavs player Delton West was
having a secret affair with LeBron’s own mother Gloria James. It would be a number of months
later that this would be proven, but the tension simmering beneath the surface would have been
tough to handle and quite the awkward situation in the dressing room. No wonder West was cut
not long after the 2010 playoffs were over. LeBron didn’t wait long to pack his bags either. In
2012, West disregarded the rumors but the NBA world still believes it happened. Must’ve been
quite a scandal!
Number 7. Dunked on by a kid
WARNING - LeBron James and Nike do not want you to watch this video. Why is that, you
must be thinking? As the global brand had brought King James under their wing to form a
formidable partnership, the Cavs star took some time out to play against a collection of College
sophomore kids. One of them, Jordan Crawford, schooled James with a huge dunk over the top
of him. Under normal circumstances, this would be laughed off, but both Nike and James went
out of their way to try and confiscate the tape and wipe it from the history books. The first bit
was embarrassing, but the next one was just outright humiliating.
Number 6. Courtside Karen
Lebron rarely loses his cool on the court but when he does, he makes sure that the person he has
a brawl with becomes a meme on social media. Now due to the pandemic, players have to play in
empty arenas with only a few rich, lucky fans. You would expect these fans to behave nicely and
make up for the empty stadium, but this woman reacted the opposite way. With a little more than
eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’
