De Vlaardingse zangeres Eva Auad komt begin november met een nieuw album, haar derde. Het is een prettig popalbum geworden met twaalf songs die Eva de laatste jaren schreef. De titeltrack 'Like no other' is als single uitgebracht en daarmee hoopt de Vlaardingse eindelijk een grote doorbraak te forceren.Eva Auad werd 38 jaar geleden geboren in het Vlaardingse Holy ziekenhuis. Dat bestaat niet meer, maar samen met verslaggever Ronald van Oudheusden bezocht ze wel haar eerste ouderlijk huis aan de Oranjelaan 49. "Het doet me wel wat om hier te staan. Ik ben nauwelijks terug geweest hier en merk dat het wel binnen komt."Herinneren doet Eva zich niet veel van die eerste jaren in Vlaardingen Ambacht. "Daarna zijn we naar Holy verhuisd, de Robert Shumanring waar ik ook in de buurt naar school ging. Momenteel leeft Eva alweer een tijd in 's-Gravendeel in de Hoeksche Waard. "Ik heb veel familie in de buurt en vind het ook wel lekker rustig daar. Als ik de stad in wil, ben ik er zo."Het leven als artiest valt in coronatijden niet mee. "Optreden zit er niet in dus dan maar schrijven, je moet toch wat", lacht de Vlaardingse met Egyptische achternaam. "En ik wil uiteindelijk ook meer live gaan spelen. Met een band, maar daarvoor zoek ik nog een goede toetsenist, dus kom maar op jongens en meiden."CatchyHet derde album is volgens Eva Auad meer in balans dan haar vorige twee platen. "Ik ben er heel content mee. De eerste single valt hartstikke goed, dus positieve reacties allemaal. Het schijnt nogal catchy te zijn. Daar ben ik blij om. Ik heb er goede verwachtingen van. Ik ben nou eenmaal een sucker-for-love maar ik denk dat het wel meer een volwassen plaat is geworden. Ik mag het wel hopen na al die tijd", lacht Eva Auad.Het album verschijnt volgende week officieel, maar een heuse releaseparty zit er door Corona niet in. "Ik hoop wel als het allemaal weer kan dat ik ook hier in Vlaardingen kan optreden. Dat is nog niet gebeurd. Heel graag!
