Gaming chairs have become prevalent, but shameless copy-pasting by most "manufacturers" has led to a stagnant industry with poor value vs. even cheap office chairs.

This video includes mini-reviews of several office chairs that we've now been using for about a year at the office. The project started in December of 2019, then we filmed the bulk of the video in August of 2020, and added concluding thoughts in December of 2020. All of these chairs have been swapped around between the team for months now, and we eventually all picked our favorites. Patrick ended up preferring the ErgoChair 2, Steve preferred the Aeron after much adjustment and struggling to find the best positioning, Keegan and Andrew use the Komene Mesh chair (whoever comes in first -- we're buying a second one to solve this), and Mike uses the SL4000, but will probably also switch to an office chair once he decides which one he prefers. He does not like the SL5000 as much as the SL4000, due to the 5000's wider base.

We'll talk about whether a gaming chair is worth it, how they compare to similarly priced office chairs, and the few times we think a gaming chair makes sense. Please remember that this is completely subjective, but to help smooth-out the subjective nature of a chair, we involved the entire GN team in the editorial process of the content. Even still, it's likely that your own unique needs, setup, and your body may demand a different chair than what we all came to like. That's completely fine, and feel free to share your own favorites in the comments in a constructive way that may help other viewers. Our biggest problem with gaming chairs, though, is how little innovation they have -- but there's room to make them better, if only someone would try and commit to it. We even went through the process of getting quotes to make our own gaming chair (we're not actually making it) to determine the cost and difficulty. Both are low.

Er zijn al zoveel middelen geprobeerd door de gemeente Rotterdam in de strijd tegen de alsmaar terugkerende blauwalg in de Kralingse Plas. En keer op keer lijkt het niet te werken, waardoor zwemmen opnieuw niet mogelijk is. Het nieuwste middel, dat nu onderzocht wordt is Phoslock. "Dat is een kleiachtig materiaal, waar fosfaten zich aan binden. Het kan een oplossing zijn en dat gaan we onderzoeken", zegt Brigitte Moratis van de gemeente Rotterdam. In Australië heeft het product al goede resultaten geboekt. Al jaren tobbenDe bestrijding van de blauwalg in de Kralingse Plas heeft al miljoenen euro's gekost. Zo werd al een keer een nieuwe zandlaag op de bodem gelegd en werd ook blondeermiddel uitgeprobeerd als wondermiddel. Allemaal zonder succes.Maar wat er ook geprobeerd wordt. De blauwgroene smurrie blijft terugkeren. In 2011 is vissen onmogelijk door de blauwalg. "Vissen is bijna onmogelijk omdat die algengroei zo enorm doorzet."Een jaar later vinden recreanten het te vies om het water in te gaan: "Ik vind het water gewoon niet schoon, het ruikt ook niet lekker, je ziet een vieze drab drijven."Watersporters geven in 2016 aan het water niet meer op te durven. "Met de kleinkinderen varen gaat niet door." In 2017 zien ondernemers hun klandizie teruglopen: "We noemen het erwtensoep en als ondernemer zakt je de moed in de schoenen. Je wilt heel graag dat het een keer wordt opgelost." ZwemverbodOok dit jaar teistert de blauwalg de Kralingse Plas. Zwemmers moeten weer uitwijken als er een zwemverbod ingevoerd wordt. "Het is zo jammer, het is zo mooi hier en ik zwem hier heel graag. Maar met blauwalg is het niet te doen", vertellen Astrid en Ilse die twee keer per week een duik in de Kralingse Plas nemen. Zodra de blauwalg opduikt, wijken de twee zwemmers uit naar de Zevenhuizerplas. Ze hebben al eens last gehad van de blauwalg. "Ik heb een keer een huidontsteking gehad", vertelt Ilse. "En ik een keer rode huid en pukkeltjes en wat het dan is,  weet je niet, maar dan gaan we gelijk weg", vult Astrid aan. UitwerpselenBlauwalg voedt zich graag met fosfaten afkomstig uit uitwerpselen. De gemeente Rotterdam gaat een ganzenpoepzuiger inzetten vanwege de vele ganzen die poepen op steigers. Tot teleurstelling van hondenbezitters mogen honden straks ook niet meer het water in. De gemeente wil het hondenstrand verplaatsen. Partijen in de gemeenteraad zetten hier vraagtekens bij. Een andere maatregel is het keren van de sluis zodat fosfaatrijk boezemwater straks niet meer in de plas kan stromen als bootjes door de sluis varen. Voor de belangrijkste maatregel, het inzetten van Phoslock, moet de gemeenteraad van Rotterdam nog wel toestemming geven.De zwemmers hopen dat gemeente en waterschap nu eindelijk eens de blauwalg de baas worden. "Dat hopen we heel erg, moet toch ook kunnen. Het zou heel fijn zijn", zeggen de twee zwemsters met bibberende stem van de kou als ze het water uitkomen.

Hij zit maandagochtend urenlang op zijn knieën om de zogeheten Stolpersteine, ter nagedachtenis aan de Joodse mensen die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn afgevoerd en vermoord, weer te laten blinken. Stolpersteine, ook wel struikelstenen, zijn messing plaatjes op stenen die zijn ingemetseld in de stoep voor de huizen waar Joodse mensen woonden. Schiedam telt meer dan honderd van zulke stenen, waarvan er zes op de stoep aan het Broersveld liggen. "Daar leefde de familie Dasberg. David, Levie, Salomon, Helena Eva, Eliazar en Sophia", somt verslaggever Jacco van Giessen op. "Zij zijn in 1942 gedeporteerd en vermoord in Auschwitz."Internationale actieHet schoonmaken van de stenen is een internationale actie. In zestien Europese landen worden maandag de poetsdoeken tevoorschijn gehaald, zegt Peter Groeneweg. Hij is bestuurslid van de Stichting Stolpersteine Schiedam."Het is knieënwerk, maar dat geeft niet", zegt Groeneweg. "Het is voor het goede doel. De schoonmaakwerkzaamheden in de Botlek na de olielekkage van afgelopen weekeinde, zijn in volle gang. Ruim tachtig mensen zijn momenteel bezig in speciaal ingerichte wasstraten in de Geulhaven, om zee- en binnenvaartschepen olievrij te maken. "Het gaat 24 uur per dag door", zegt havenmeester René de Vries. Op een groot ponton met schoonmaakapparatuur worden schepen schoongemaakt. Dit duurt per schip twee tot zes uur.''Inmiddels zijn er vijftien binnenvaartschepen en één zeeschip door de wasstraat gehaald. Instructions:
"open" - Opens Main Door.
"close" - Closes Main Door.
"open/close SF/meeting" - Opens or closes the SF or Meeting room.
"enable SF" - Activates the SF room. Be sure to Disable when done!
"disable SF" - Deactivates the SF room. Needed to use other weapons.
"run [sim]" - Runs a Sim.
"end sim" - Ends the sim, Teleporting all to Lobby.
"begin!" - Starts the CTF Maps.
