Rainforests are responsible for 28% of the world's oxygen, without them our breathing would be much harder. Rainforests are rapidly disappearing due to deforestation, thus resulting in habitat loss and pollution of the atmosphere.

Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth" and the "world's largest pharmacy", because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there, they are also home to many of earths animals and if deforestration continues at the rate it is today these animals would just simply die. Join us as we explore the rainforests and vist some of the animals who live there.

Recorded live at Frontiers Rock Festival V in Milan, Italy on April 28, 2018, this brand new live release shows PRAYING MANTIS offering the crowd a setlist of new songs and several classic tracks, including selected cuts from the now legendary debut album, “Time Tells No Lies". An awesome release, showcasing the repertoire of one of the most consistent British hard rock bands around.

Originally formed in 1973 by the Troy brothers, Tino and Chris, Praying Mantis became one of the most influential bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band is also one of a very small number of bands from that era to have remained an ongoing concern over the intervening years, and to still record and appear live regularly. The debut Praying Mantis album, “Time Tells No Lies” (Arista) was released in 1981 to critical acclaim, and it remains a significant milestone in the history of NWOBHM. Following a short-lived reformation of most of the original line-up of Praying Mantis in 1987, the band went back on hiatus until offered the chance to play in Japan with ex-Iron Maiden members Paul Di’Anno and Dennis Stratton in 1990. This experience injected new life into the band, and also marked the beginning of a productive 15 year partnership with Dennis Stratton. The band’s second official studio album, “Predator in Disguise” was released in 1991, and the band have continued to write and release new material every two to three years ever since, with a shifting line-up which has featured the likes of Doogie White, Gary Barden, Bernie Shaw, Bruce Bisland, Mike Freeland, Gary Mackenzie, and many other figures from the cream of Britain’s rock fraternity. Following another major change in line-up (including the departure of Dennis Stratton), Praying Mantis signed with Frontiers in 2007 and recorded the album “Sanctuary”, which was released in 2009. The album, considered to be one of the finest of their career, has received consistently positive reviews, as have the follow-ups, "Legacy" and "Gravity".

Whether gigging in support of their latest releases, writing new material, or re-visiting other songs from their extensive back-catalogue, the Troy brothers, along with guitarist Andy Burgess and newest recruits, John 'Jaycee' Cuijpers on vocals and Hans In T' Zandt on drums and vocals, remain committed to the blend of melody and power in their music that has become a trademark of the Praying Mantis sound, and, some three decades after forming, the band is still completely dedicated to entertaining a seemingly ever-growing army of fans across the globe.

La escuela ha cumplido ya más de 200 años de existencia y es aun considerada la principal forma de acceso a la educación. Hoy en día, la escuela y la educación son conceptos ampliamente discutidos en foros académicos, políticas públicas, instituciones educativas, medios de comunicación y espacios de la sociedad civil.Desde su origen, la institución escolar ha estado caracterizada por estructuras y prácticas que hoy se consideran mayormente obsoletas y anacrónicas. Decimos que no acompañan las necesidades del Siglo XXI. Su principal falencia se encuentra en un diseño que no considera la naturaleza del aprendizaje, la libertad de elección o la importancia que tienen el amor y los vínculos humanos en el desarrollo individual y colectivo.

A partir de estas reflexiones críticas han surgido, a lo largo de los años, propuestas y prácticas que pensaron y piensan la educación de una forma diferente. "La Educación Prohibida" es una película documental que propone recuperar muchas de ellas, explorar sus ideas y visibilizar aquellas experiencias que se han atrevido a cambiar las estructuras del modelo educativo de la escuela tradicional.

Más de 90 entrevistas a educadores, académicos, profesionales, autores, madres y padres; un recorrido por 8 países de Iberoamérica pasando por 45 experiencias educativas no convencionales; más de 25.000 seguidores en las redes sociales antes de su estreno y un total de 704 coproductores que participaron en su financiación colectiva, convirtieron a "La Educación Prohibida" en un fenómeno único. Un proyecto totalmente independiente de una magnitud inédita, que da cuenta de la necesidad latente del crecimiento y surgimiento de nuevas formas de educación.

Unlike other supervolcanoes such as Lake Toba, Yellowstone, or Lake Taupo, it is a literal field of numerous calderas, and more than one Magma chamber. Mount Vesuvius, is actually connected to the magma chamber that this Supervolcano is slowly building more and more magma within.

If it erupted in present day, the effects would be devestating. It has demonstrated itself as having eruptions at least five times larger than that of Mount Tambora. Which to this day is the most fatal volcanic eruptions humans have ever witnessed in modern history since the last Ice Age.

This is a four part series exploring the amazing, and very frightening facts regarding the Italian Supervolcano. I was unable to make only one video of this, as one would not do it justice and I would be skipping numerous vital facts that I felt are very much worth explaining in depth.
