Winsome Sears: ‘You are looking at the American dream’

Winsome Sears, who leads in Virginia's race for lieutenant governor, addressed a crowd of supporters early Wednesday after Glenn Youngkin became the first Republican to win statewide office in Virginia since 2009.

"You are looking at the American dream," said the
former Marine who immigrated to the United States from Jamaica as a girl.

"It's a historic night. Yes, it is," Sears said. "But I didn't run to make history. I just wanted to leave it better than I found it."
