Subnautica is a survival, adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a first-person perspective. The player controls the lone survivor of a crashed space ship, called the Aurora, on the fictional ocean planet 4546B. The ship's wreckage explodes shortly after starting the game, from which point onward it can be explored. The main objective of the player is to explore the game's world and survive the dangers of the planet while at the same time following the story of the game. Subnautica allows the player to collect resources, construct tools, bases, and submersibles, and interact with the planet's wildlife.[11] In the basic difficulty "Survival", the player will have to maintain nutrition, hydration, and oxygen. The game includes a day and night cycle which affects the gameplay and surroundings. The game includes three other modes: "Freedom mode", in which hunger and thirst are disabled; "Hardcore mode", which is the same as Survival, except that if the player dies, the player will no longer be able to respawn; and "Creative Mode", in which the hunger, thirst, health, and oxygen features are all disabled, all the crafting blueprints are acquired, where no resources are needed to craft and the submersibles do not need energy and cannot be damaged. The game is mainly set underwater, with two explorable islands.

Slither.io is a massively multiplayer browser game. Players control a snake-like avatar, which consumes multicoloured pellets from other players, and ones that naturally spawn on the map in the game to grow in size. The objective of the game is to grow the longest snake in the server. Slither.io is similar in concept to the popular 2015 web game Agar.io and is reminiscent of the classic arcade game Snake. The game grew in popularity following its promotion among several prominent YouTube users such as PewDiePie.
The objective of the game is to control and move a snake (or a worm to most players) around a dark space, eat mass, defeat and consume other players to grow the biggest and longest in the game. If the player's snake's head collides into a part of another snake, the player loses the game and must start over. The defeated avatar's body turns into bright, shining dots for other players to consume. Dots also spawn from other snake avatars. By pressing the space bar or clicking the mouse, the player can activate "boost mode", which causes the avatar to speed up. When a player does use "boost mode", the snake loses mass causing the snake's size to shrink slightly. The mass that is lost from the boost appears in a line where the boost was used. This feature is useful to outmanoeuvre and defeat opponents. The drawback is that the avatar will lose some length while being speed-boosted.
There is a border that confines avatars within the circular game board. If a snake hits the border, the player loses the game, but will not turn into the aforementioned dots. A good strategy to defeat and consume enemies is by coiling and thereby trapping them within the player's snake, leading to the inevitable death of the opponents.
There are several default skins, each one a different solid colour, randomly chosen when the player joins the server. Players can choose to customise their snakes' appearances using custom skins with unique designs including the American flag and skins with motifs and colours representing famous YouTubers, such as Jacksepticeye and PewDiePie.

I caved - I went on Steam and bought Subnautica. I have been looking at this game for a while and so far I am not disappointed - graphics are good. The interface seems straightforward and I am looking forward to getting into the story. Playing this game doe s give you that sense of being under the sea - beneath the waves with great gaming experience which takes you away from the space exploration games
